First of all, Merry Christmas!!!

I really felt I needed to drop you a line because once again Arctic Spas Durham has not only ‘met the bar’ it has beaten it in leaps and bounds. Needless to say, the ice storm that devastated so many this holiday season was an absolute horror!

My first concern was that the house pipes would burst, but luckily we had a gas fireplace in our basement which carried us through 3 days of power outage sufficiently. Then it dawned on me that my hot tub was not getting any power!!! Our power went out Saturday and by the end of Sunday I was really starting to get concerned, but I said to Rich

“When I was researching hot tubs before I purchased the Arctic Spa, I remember reading something along the lines of when Arctic Spas tubs were developed–I think by some fellas in Edmonton, it was tested without power and managed to survive 4 days before freezing in Edmonton temperatures.”

So, I said “no matter how curious, we can’t lift the lid up to see what’s going on”.

At the end of the 3rd day, still without power and the freezing temps, I was certain we’d lose our beloved Cub Tub of nearly 10 years!

Late Monday our power kicked on–Hallelujah!! We left the tub alone and just listened to make sure it was coming on, but left the lid as it was. Tuesday afternoon we checked and found no visible signs of leaking, and our incredible tub was running at 103 degrees.

Outstanding!!! Just another testament to the craftsmanship, quality and durability of the Arctic Spas tubs!

Thanks again Gord to you and your fabulous team at Arctic Spas Durham, for setting me up with my tub. Your quality of product and service is unmatched. While our intentions of Christmas morning in our tub with Mimosas went bust, if we can just get the dangling branches from the massive maple tree down that are hanging over our tub and threatening our safety–we may get to spend New Year’s in it!

Well done, and all the best for a safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you and your staff at Arctic Spas Durham.

With great appreciation, Cheers!!
